Let us recognize our infirmity but confess the power of God. The Christian life has to be shot through with optimism, joy and the strong conviction that our Lord wishes to make use of us. If we feel part of the Church, if we see ourselves sustained by the rock of Peter and by the action of the Holy Spirit, we will decide to fulfil the little duty of every moment. We will sow a little each day, and the granaries will overflow.

🪨 On the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, we celebrate two pillars of our Church. We trace our lineage from Leo to these lions of the Church, all of whom point to our Lord Jesus Christ. We stand strong as Catholics in the world because our foundation, the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, is the house built on the rock.

Father Darrell will give a talk on the profound significance of Sts. Peter and Paul—pillars of the early Church. St. Peter, the first Pope, was entrusted by Jesus to “feed my sheep,” while St. Paul, tireless missionary and theologian, carried the Gospel to the nations. Father will also speak on Pope Leo IV and the Church’s continuing mission to bring Christ to the world.
