04/11: HOLY WEEK
"Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord. Peace in heaven and glory in the highest." (Luke 19:38)

✝️ Holy Week is here! The zenith of the holiest season is upon us. In addition to the events below and at your parish, consider making a pilgrimage on Holy Thursday, April 17, in the tradition of the Seven Church Visitation:
The Seven Churches Visitation is a Catholic tradition where people visit seven churches on Holy Thursday, specifically after the Mass of the Lord's Supper. Each visit is an opportunity to pray and reflect on the Passion of Christ, with pilgrims kneeling before the altar of repose, meditating on scripture, and offering prayers and adoration.
Consider praying the Divine Mercy Novena in preparation for the extraordinary graces offered on Divine Mercy Sunday starting Good Friday, April 18.
We hope this newsletter has blessed you during Lent and the Triduum. Look forward to even more events during Eastertide, including our Archdiocesan Priestly Ordination on Saturday, June 7. May God bless you and yours during Holy Week!

Desert Lenten Journey at the Abbey: Stations of the Cross
Fri 04/11 4:00 PM at Santa Maria de la Vid Abbey
In this third event will begin in the Abbey Church with songs of praise led by Linda Sepulveda. We will then walk the Contemplative Path just outside of the church building. This is an opportunity to walk in quiet contemplation to pray on the upcoming Passion of the Lord. One might also consider praying the Rosary. This will lead us to the Way of the Cross path where Dr. Joseph Sandoval will pray the Stations of the Cross developed by the Jesuits of the Central and Southern Province that reflect the suffering of immigrants and asylum-seekers to the suffering of the Lord. It tells the stories of the Stations of the Cross from their stories.
